Look Art!

Page one of my “About Me” final project for my advertising art class. (This hardly relates to advertising at all… *bleh*) Anyway I think it came out pretty well. Better than what I expected at least. The top image is really me, vectorized of course. I only spent about 10 minutes on the vectorization so it’s not that great of a job.

The total time for both pages was about 3 and a half hours. Considering most people in my class have been working on their project all week and barely got anywhere, I’d say mission accomplished. Hopefully my teach will think so too. *Hopes the sub won’t squeal on me for using my ipod the entire class period*

If time allows I think I’ll post some of the other images I vectorized too. There’s quite a bunch that I didn’t decide to use in the magazine spread. The two I chose complimented the theme of the design the most.

Told You So

 

As promised I’ve uploaded My Baby by Jesse McCartney. And since I had a little extra time after making the video, I also uploaded Told You So. Personally these are the two best songs on his new album Departure. If you haven’t bought it on itunes yet, now would be good time to do so. You’ll probably like the other songs on the album including How Do You Sleep?, Into Ya, and It’s Over.

Hopefully if time allows I’ll get more of his songs from Departure in the next up coming weeks. Summer is just around the bend so tons of videos will be going up then.  If you have a question or request feel free to comment here or on my youtube channel. I’ll get around to it eventually.

 
More on life…
Ah yes, the other half of what this blog is supposed to be about. Not too much interesting things to add in about my life. Besides the whole hair cut fiasco. To be honnest it wasn’t that bad after all. I got a few compliments, but I still miss my old hair. It was so amazing before the cut (see example hair). I’m still a bit salty about the hair cut, but I guess people think it’s decent. It’s not that big of a deal anymore

Worst Haircut Ever

So normally I wouldn’t really care about getting my hair cut. However this time, I really didn’t want to get it cut. I had spent six months trying to grow it out and keep it on the long side. Apparently my parents really didn’t like this and decided to force me to get it cut today.

There’s nothing more to say than my hair is aweful. I can safely say that it was 99% better before. Of Course, if you ask my parents they’ll say that it’s better now. Lies. I wish I could show you a picture of what I look like, however my identity will be released in doing so. You’ll just have to settle for that “example” pictures up top. (Alright just what my hair looked like before because I couldn’t find any photos to match my current state)

I’m really not looking to going back to school tomorrow. Bleh. Anyone care to stand in…

Three More Days

Three more days until Jesse McCartney’s album Departure is released. Make sure you get it on itunes! I’ll also be posting up a “sing-a-long” video for his song My baby. (Read more in the previous posts) It’s been a lack of video posting… I know. But once his full album is released I’ll try to get most of the decent songs done.

Any suggestions for new videos? Leave a comment here or on my youtube channel. I’ll be happy to ablige.

Thought my album art was pretty cool but he didn’t have time to reupload the files. Oh well, at least he liked them. If you want to use the unofficial blueskies sunshine session album art you can get the images from the links in the previous post.

Hopefully when he does the “Fireside Sessions” in winter I’ll be more on the ball with sending some art his way.

A Letter To Dave

Just Wrote a Letter to Dave from Blue skies with some cover art. My hopes are that He’ll decide to use them and include them in his Sunshine Sessions release. (Would really make my day for a second time this month). Even if he doesn’t use them I would love to hear a reply.

Thanks for releasing The Sunshine Sessions publicly! I simply couldn’t resist making more art for you to use (if you desire). Hopefully you’ll think this set worthy of your album. Especially after the work you put into your music and personal album cover.

Ick Physics

Well I’m stuck doing all the work for my physics project while my partner coasts along. Apparently my partner as usual hasn’t paid attention to any of the work from the whole quarter. Therefore I’m stuck completing about 5 pages of questions for our final project.

This makes me want to kill someone. I mean… I love my partner as he’s a pretty decent person. I’m just not too happy about being handed the full share of the project. I mean, I have tons of other projects that I have to attend to over the next few weeks. Just to name a few – A personal essay for English, a final program for computer science, an art portfolio for advertising art, and to top it off a year end final for AP Gov./Politics. It’s going to be quite a hassle to do the work of two people. Life for the next week or so will pretty much suck.

Anyway wanted to vent a bit before I actually got started on the work. Perhaps maybe Google can help me out with some of the answers… I doubt it though. I’ve tried that before and it always seems to fail. My Baby – the video will still be released as scheduled so theres no need to worry about that…

The good news is that there is only about three more weeks of school. I’ll finally be a Senior. whoop!

My Baby

So most of you probably already heard Jesse McCartney’s new songs on youtube… Silly leaks. Anyway, I plan to release a video for his song My Baby from Departure on the 20th. No, I won’t post it earlier for several reasons:

1. I don’t have the illegal copy of the music
2. Leaking music is bad. It hurts Jesse Financially.
3. I’m just not quite in the mood to make a new video.
4. I’m quite busy with school work and such.

So you can all look forward to the release on the 20th. Until then, my youtube channel will pretty much remain the same. Oh, except for the new blog link I added. Perhaps you should go and spread the word 🙂

Dave Made My Day

Logged on to youtube today. Saw Dave’s channel (by now you probably know I’m obsessed with his music). Then Nearly Exploded when I saw that he used the bannersr I made for him. I never in a million years thought he would use them. I expected him to just glance at them and then sort of toss them into his “eh… I get a million of these everyday” pile. It literally made my day to see them there.

It’s exhillerating to know that he thought they were decent enough to put up on his page. What makes me smile even more is that people love the banners as well. Here are some comments from his viewers:

Free Rice

Dave recently posted a video up on his youtube promoting freerice.com. Now… this website. It’s pretty amazing in my opinion. You get to improve your vocab (helps tons on SATs) while also helping kids in third world type countries. That’s a pretty sweet deal. Anyway so far I’ve donated 12040 grains of rice. I’ll probably hit a million by the end of the year. It’s quite addicting.

Blogging; how fun

I finally set up a wordpress…  *whoop whoop* Anywho I guess I’ll have to keep this updated with posts. I mainly plan to use this blog to talk about whatever is on my mind. (Which is usually nothing) Eh, on second though I think I better come up with a few topics that will actually be interesting.
