Anyway I’ve been meaning to release this video a while ago. Things just got busy with advertisement planning and doodle drawing.

I honestly don’t know why I even bother with concept sketches. I never follow the designs that I originally intended to create. I suppose I just work better when I’m at the table with a blank slate and my only goal is to create. (No pun intended) However this time around I did have a reason to deviate from the project plan.
I felt that the planned design resembled the graphics too much already on the bebo page. This was intentional in the original planning but later reconsidered. I didn’t want the advertisement to infringe on the copyrights of bebo. As a result I scratched the whole Idea.
All in all I’m quite satisfied with the design. I’m a little worried that it doesn’t exactly portray an image hosting site and more of a teen dating site. I wanted to draw int he audience with the appeal of the model. After all Bebo is a social networking site with a large percentage of female teens. Hopefully the staff at omgupload will still approve of the design.
Omgupload.com has offered me the opportunity to produce another advertisement for them. This time it’s for the social networking site Bebo. This is another upscale type website with pretty steep advertising costs. Thank god for Google Ad Sense. Anyway I have one particular design concept that I would like to work on.
I don’t know how well it will fly with omgupload.com or bebo. The advertisement is cleverly designed to look like part of page. Much like those annoying virus scan advertisements disguised as real ‘windows’. I hope that it will pass the advertising standards or it’s back to the drawing boards.
Above is the concept sketch. Below the main header there will be a collection of images being ‘sucked’ into a URL bar. This represents the photos transitioning from a hard drive onto the omgupload servers. I may play around with the positioning though. I want to make use of as much space as possible while still keeping the image clean. This means that the URL bar will most-likely be moved above the photos or below it.
You’ll see the final product of this advertisement soon. It’s due by the end of the month but I think I’ll get it in ahead of time.
A new landmark has been reached! 500 subscribers on my youtube channel! To celebrate this milestone I will be releasing a special 500 subscribers video within the next few days. It will feature the techno song Eurodancer as well as actual recorded video. Hopefully it will be quite different than the usual lyrics videos that I put up on youtube. You’ll just have to stay tuned to see the final result.

Well, Lisanova has finally been doodled. There are parts in this doodle I love and parts that I hate. I think that the shoulders and arm placement came out well. While the lower half of her body is drawn a little weird. I think that the crotch part has too little lines and the abdomen has too many lines. I was not really up to figuring out how to make it better. It’s just a doodle after-all.
I have also gotten another request for a doodle. It’s another character from liamshow… Grandma? I’ll probably working on this real soon as I’ve seen a clip of this youtube video. It’s pretty hilarious! Plus, I think it will be a challenge to complete the doodle.
I’ve finally set up a bunch of playlists on my youtube channel. Hopefully this will allow viewers like you (sappy television lines ftw) to search for content that is most relevant to your interests. Keep in mind that not all the videos I have up will be added in a playlist. Just the most popular searches such as The Jonas Brothers and Jesse McCartney will get their own playlist.

This doodle was done by request. To be honnest I really have no idea who this youtuber is. All I can say is that she (or he?) is from the Liamshow. Apparently it’s some sort of comedic show in which the host dresses up as a girl (Kelly). Not really going to say much more about the weirdness factor there.
Well technically this counts as a girl doodle right? Eh well, lisa is almost done as well. I just wanted to fulfill the request. No matter how creepy it was to doodle this.
This is Levi Beamish, better known as CorporalCadet from Youtube New Zealand, in doodle form! Although I promised a girl youtube doodle, I couldn’t resist doodling him. His outfit was just so spunky it was begging to be doodled. Hopefully you won’t mind the slight delay in doodle planning.
I drew a nose this time around too. So I suppose I’m one step closer to actually drawing faces and not just shadow outlines. It’s a doodle though, don’t expect too much.
I suppose I’ll be working on Lisa Nova next? Unless someone knows of a better model to choose from… Yeah that’s what I thought.
This is the first time that I’ve tried to create an animation. Although that was mainly an excuse in case you think it’s utter crap. I got a bit lazy at the end, as you can probably tell. Animation is hard work >.<! I give alot of credit to those folks at disney who work in their animation department. Of course, they are getting paid to that… I suppose thats a nift incentive to keep working.
Anyway this animation was the combined effort of three programs. Yay for my lack of high tech programs. At least the small freeware ones get the job done.

Continuing working on more Tshirt designs I’ve decided to try out some text oriented designs. This means that the focus will be be brought to “omgupload”, the chosen company, by focusing the users’ attention on ranges of text. To showcase this method I have selected three designs best represent this style of art.
Design one:
The classic circle design. The only thing that makes the design interesting is the huge omg in the middle. There is less focus on visiting the website and more on the omg part. Hopefully this would make more people want to wear the shirt versus having a shirt that is entirely focused on only the advertising aspect.
Design Two:
Another classic text design. Repetition is used to create a flowing pattern before being overlayed by the main focus of the shirt.
Design Three:
An expanded version of my second design. This one utilizes the entire shirt almost making it a walking billboard. Personally I prefer the second design over this.

I’m slipping into the lava, and I’m trying to keep from going under. Baby you turn the temperature hotter. ‘Cause I’m burning up for you baby! I’ve been playing around with a few tshirt designs; eventually coming that simplicity is the best method for creating an attractive design. Out of 20 designs (or so) I’ve decided to send these to omgupload.com. Maybe they’ll decide to use it for promotion, or maybe it will rot forever in their image galleries. Either way, I’m happy to send it away and add it to my portfolio collection. (I’m not too happy about the amount if ink it will take to print out these pages)
Design one:
This design was inspired by my ‘omgupload.com concepts 2.0.’ In fact it’s just an inverted copy and paste work. Either way, I think it’s quite attractive and gets the message across well. The world draws your attention to the shirt while the text explains what it’s all about.
Design Two:
This design was created to test out trying to take a screen shot while simultaneously editing a picture. Turns out that’s possible as well as a great way to stretch out your fingers. I think that the overall flow of this design works well with the color scheme.
Design Three:
Design number three was created out of pure boredom. For some reason scribbled lines are extremely attractive to me. They just make the shirt pop! Especially on a black shirt background. Although the work is a little messy I find it adds to the image’s appeal.
Design Four:
This final design is really just the base of the previous designs. I think that it can hold it’s own with out any added shapes or figures just fine. This is design at it’s simplest form.

OMG it’s Davedays without his green shirt. Well, I’d have to say that he just isn’t quite as awesome without it. Of course… any Davedays fan could tell you that. Anyway here is his in ll his black and white glory as a doodle. The only really challenging part to this doodle was the fact that his hair is so fine. (No, not fine as in hot, but fine as in thin) Eventually I just settled on doing a bunch of rapid close-together jagged lines to give the hair some depth.
I have no current plans to work on this futher and add color to his polo shirt. I may do so If I have the time in the future.
Smosh = A challenge to doodle. Especially with the skinny jeans and Ian’s hands for some reason. They were at weird angles I never did before so they came out a little awkward. Anthony’s hands came out great though… especially the thumbs up.
Doing crotches is awkward. Not that it’s sexually awkward but more of graphically awkward. I’ll probably stick to half body doodles for a while now. At least until I get more comfortable with drawing them in appropriately.
My blog is starting to flood with all of these doodles. I guess I better start working on some youtube videos as well. After all that’s mainly what this blog is set up for. Eek.
So he’s not exactly smosh, but I wanted to share it anyway. This is the first doodle that I’ve done that actually has a real face. I’m pretty satisfied with how it came out (or I would have deleted it by now). It’s a little different from the original picture as I neglected to doodle in the characters on his shirt. I got a bit lazy and used the space for his user name. Ehh… I think it’s decent though.
I’m still looking for a photo of smosh. In particular a picture where Ian and Anthony are jumping in the air. I’ve seen it before and I need to hunt it down to get started on their doodle. If you have it please post a comment or message me with the url.
My blog layout has changed! No it’s not because the season has changed or because I want to get a new feel on my site. The real reason is that I needed more space to work with. If you haven’t already noticed the old blix theme was running short on navigation space. With the addition of the music spotlight, there was barely any room left to add additional links.
This problem has been solved with the installation of the new layout by Sadish. The header image will be replaced very soon, probably with something more simplex.
Just wanted to let you all know that the site didn’t explode. It just had a much needed makeover to suit its current needs. Feel free to drop a comment to this entry to express your thoughts about the update.
I think I drew the cat better than I drew Carl, lol. I made him seem a little fatter than what he looks like on youtube. I still can’t do human eyes and face expressions that well, but I think I got cats down pretty good, lol. I’ll keep on practicing with the eyes… I’ll get a decent one eventually. Then my drawing won’t be so blind.
I want to do a smosh one next, so maybe I’ll post that in a few days… Or tomorrow if I finish that early. Summer has really given me a lot of free time.
Yet another youtube doodle! This time it’s Charlie from charlieissocoolike. I’d have to say that this one was much harder then my the Nerimon and Blueskies doodle. To be honnest I still don’t think it came out that well. The only parts I’m satisfied with is his clothing and the left half of his head. My hand attempt is a little weird, but I didn’t know how to fix it.
This second Charlie doodle doesn’t show him how he usually looks. It’s actually from an image after a bad hair cut on his blog. I also used lines that are a little bolder then usual. (Not sure how that happened). You can still enjoy the doodle, lol. I thought it was decent enough to post.
Keeping with this youtube doodle theme, I’ll probably do another tuber as my next project. I’m guessing it’s going to be Carlkr because his probably one of my favorite vloggers, besides Charlie of course. Look forward to that.

I was browsing through Charlieissocoollike’s blog and found this hilarious image of Nerimon (Alex Day) from youtube. Looking back on it now, it’s not that hilarious. I suppose the heat this summer is starting to get to my head… Anyway, while I was still in the spur of the moment I doodled him and Yoshi.
I’m having quite a bit of fun with inkscape lately. Still haven’t mastered faces yet though… The pencil and calligraphy brush is a little too sensitive to handle the finer detail of faces. Eh all in all, it’s still a decent job with or out without a face.
About the Dave from Blue Skies doodle… I’m probably not going to do anything more with that one. I think Nerimon is perfectly happy having his own little doodle spot he doesn’t need to steal daves limelight. Sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to that.
Anyone have any ideas of a person to doodle next? If not I guess I’ll keep with the “oohh that looks like an awesome pic to doodle” method.
